Weekly Update - 19 October 2014

Good Morning Selby!
Here's is what is coming up this week - 19 October 2014.

Zumba
Wednesday; 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Girls Night Out
Thursday; 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Bring a dish to share and your beverage of choice. We will play a few games and have a few laughs!

Boo-At-The-Beach
Saturday; 6:00pm - 10:pm
A big thank you to Marc Galiber who has agreed to DJ our halloween celebrations. You may know him from the Tiger Trot at Central Elementary! Another big thank you goes out to everyone who has signed up to volunteer/donate to our celebration. There are still many more things that we need help with so hop onto Sign-Up Genius and help us out! We especially need help with attendants for the games! This is a perfect opportunity for high schoolers who are looking for volunteer hours. FYI-you can start building those hours in middle school!
If you are interested in entering a pumpkin for the pumpkin carving contest, then please take your time and carve it at home and bring it down to the community center between 5:30pm - 6:00pm on Saturday before the party. Make sure it has a name tag with a silly or spooky name on it. This is how the pumpkin will be voted on.
If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to email SelbyBay@gmail.com.

Selby Community Yard Sale
1 November; 8:00am - Noon
There are no tables left for the community yard sale, but space is being rented on the grass. If you are interested, then please email SOTBReservations@gmail.com.

Small Business Bazaar
16 November; 10:00am - 4:00pm
There are currently 11 tables still available. Tables are $20 each and are required to be paid to be reserved. This is a great opportunity for home businesses such as Avon, Creative Memories, Pampered Chef as well as landscapers and contractors. Crafters are welcome too. Registration will be at the community center on 20 October from 6:00pm-7:00pm and 3 November from 6:00pm-7:00pm. You can also email information (Name, business name, address, email, website and phone number) and drop off $20.
There will also be a basket silent auction. Businesses are encouraged to donate products and create a "basket" or package to be auctioned off. Community residents can also get into the fun and make baskets too!! Think themes! - game night, cold weather fun, hot chocolate, etc. The silent basket auction is a 50/50. If you are interested in making a basket to auction off, then email the primary name responsible for the basket (in case there is a team effort), business/team, address, email, phone number and basket contents to SelbyBay@gmail.com.

Selby-For-The-Hungry
2 October - 15 November
Thank you to those who have donated so far! We're well on our way to beat 45lbs from 2012! Please leave non-perishable food items in the small plastic bin right outside the bathrooms by the book rack. Please no glass or expired food. We are also excepting clean, pink Yoplait lids and have just opened up the food drive to included pet food!!! Can't forget our fuzzy friends!!

I think that's about it for now. If you have any questions about anything here, then please email SelbyBay@gmail.com.

Have a great week!
